  Back in the day it was fun coming here before the rennovation when they tried to make the place fancy by spending $1 billion. And in 1989, we got to go behind the scenes because we had a museum pass. There was a cute cuttle fish hanging out in a rubber maid that wanted some attention. I used to like the crocodile open area. There was a Giant Pacific salamander in a tank my mom said she saw one when she was a kid in 1950s. Back then the Giant Pacific salamander was rare too.

  The docents, displays, exhibits and service were awesome. We have visited dozens of science museums aquariums and zoos, from Tokyo to New England. I feel good offering my opinion that this is a world class museum and world class staff. Everything was on message and engaging.
