  We reserved a 2 twin private room. I have had surgeries that make it extremely difficult to walk up and down stairs. The hostel does not comply with ADA rules and regulations. The room we were provided with had no elevator to access, as there is no elevator in the hostel. The tall man at the counter stated he was sorry and that he could provide us with a full refund and that we could call other hostels to see if another location had a room was available. He did not bother calling another hostel himself. After notifying him that is illegal and against ADA rules and regulations he then stated we could use the emergency exit to exit in and out of the hostel because all of his accessible rooms were booked up. There is no indication on the website nor the confirmation email that they do not have elevators. They need to comply with ADA regulations. Under California law, any violation of the ADA is considered a civil rights violation and subject to a minimum statutory penalty. He did walk our bags down to our room for us. He was however, politely dismissive to our concerns. The woman's shower stall could have been cleaner. The location is perfect and the views are magnificent.
