  2.5 stars just because I'm a cupcake snob. Cupcake Cove has a really small store front that sells several flavors a day (about 6 flavors?), so limited. The flavors aren't very unique either, so nothing that "gourmet". In addition, they have this deal going on where it's buy 5 get 1 free, at $3 a piece - so $15 for half dozen.
  
  I tried the vanilla cupcake and it was okay... nothing special at all. Let's start off with the cake. It was a bit dry for my taste and just fell apart when I tried to eat it with a fork. What a mess! In addition, it wasn't that rich in vanilla flavor, so I doubt high quality ingredients were used. On to the frosting, it tasted like it was store bought. Didn't taste gourmet at all. No bueno. Lastly, the cupcakes lacked in appearance. From the moment I walked into Cupcake Cove and saw the cupcakes that were on display, I was thinking how amateur they looked. They didn't look anything like a gourmet cupcake. The appearance of the cupcakes definitely played a part in my overall experience with Cupcake Cove. I would be lying if I said the way I perceived the cupcake didn't affect the taste of the cupcake.
