  This company engages in the most pernicious form of price gouging there is. They apply a separate set of rates to the consumers who are obligated to pay them.
  
  My girlfriend’s car was towed by Golden Gate Tow because it was improperly parked in my apartment complex. They charged $270 for the tow, $85 (per day) for the storage and $135 because it was Sunday. I recently called them for an identical quote and they responded with $75 for the tow (70% less!) and $35/day (60% less!).
