  Great place to eat! Good prices. Lineup moved quickly. Nice thing about this place, is that they have each menu item displayed, so you know exactly what you're getting. Fish was excellent, so were the fries. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful day.

  My son's allergies to shellfish recently withdrew, and he was excited to try seafood (especially crab) while we visited the city. We stopped by The Franciscan down by the touristy Fisherman's Wharf / Embarcadero after searching reviews from several websites for several restaurants in the area.
  
  EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT.
  
  We visited around 1:30 on a Saturday, without a reservation, in a party of six, including three children. It's a little pricey for us, more than our normal restaurant bills by a wide margin, so for us it represented a special occasion event.
  
  The waiter was the epitome of professional. I'm sorry that I forget his name, but he was a middle-aged man with a neatly trimmed beard, working the east (bar) side of the restaurant. He balanced attentiveness with giving us our space.
  
  Bread and drinks were brought quickly, and they were delicious. Entrees were well-timed, arriving about a little later.
  
  I fully recommend.
